On a crewed sailing trip you will spend the day of your arrival in the historic town of Trogir and then head out into the Croatian archipelago where islands such as Hvar, Brač, Šolta and Vis await. Hvar attracts visitors with an exciting mix of historic villages and a lively nightlife. Don't miss Stari Grad, one of Europe's oldest towns, as well as the charming town of Jelsa, which offers quieter evenings in a calmer environment. The island of Brač is perhaps best known for the iconic beaches of Zlatni Rat – but don't miss the town of Pučišća with its local charm and leisurely pace. A highlight of the archipelago is the picturesque island of Vis, which offers exciting military history, beautiful vineyards and filming locations from the movie Mamma Mia 2.

Sailing in Croatia without sailing experience?

With its sheltered archipelago, warm Mediterranean climate and mild, stable winds, Croatia is the ideal destination for a sailing trip. Travelling in high season (summer) is ideal for those who want to enjoy quieter days of relaxation, sun and swimming. This time of year is perfect for the beginner who wants to try a sailing trip, but isn’t sure if it’s their thing yet. Do you love to experience sailing yourself, with more wind and fun manoeuvres? Then you should travel to Croatia during spring and autumn when the winds are often more favourable.

Do you want to learn to sail?

We love seeing more people sailing happily at sea and therefore offer sailing courses at different levels – from beginners to advanced courses for those who dream of sailing across the Atlantic.

Which cities in Croatia are on the UNESCO World Heritage List and why should you visit them?

Sailing in Croatia doesn’t just mean a relaxing holiday in the sun with nice swimming spots. Here you will also get the chance to explore some of the Mediterranean's most impressive historical towns. Start your week of sailing in the well-preserved town of Trogir, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best preserved medieval towns in Europe. Here you can stroll among charming narrow cobbled alleys, past the beautiful St. Lawrence Cathedral and the imposing Kamerlengo Castle. Did you know that scenes from Game of Thrones were filmed here?

You will then comfortably explore by yacht Croatia's extensive archipelago, where scores of beautiful towns and cities are located. Don't miss the town of Šibenik which is famous for its Cathedral of St. James, or the town of Stari Grad (also a UNESCO favourite) which is one of Europe's oldest towns. Another favourite is Vrboska on the island of Hvar – which is also nicknamed “little Venice”.

Att Sailing in Croatia doesn’t mean just relaxing on a large and comfortable yacht. There are plenty of activities here for those who want to discover more and get moving during their holidays. In addition to the opportunity to learn all about sailing, reading nautical charts, hoisting sails and tying knots aboard the boat, an impressive archipelago rich in culture and history, lush landscapes and authentic fishing villages awaits.

In the village of Zlatni Otok on the island of Brač, you can hike up the mountain through vineyards to a cave where you can get a view out over the archipelago – followed by wine tasting in the bodega in the harbour.
